Meet the Team

Karen Mora – Founded Accountability Plus in 1997. Karen's bookkeeping experience includes 10 years at a Silicon Valley commercial real estate firm and 5 years working for two Santa Barbara CPA firms. Karen’s business affiliations include Treasurer of the National Association of Women Business Owners, past VP and current member of the American Payroll Association – Santa Barbara Chapter, past President of the Santa Barbara Bookkeeper’s Association, past payroll Instructor at SBCC. Karen enjoys scuba diving, reading, gardening and traveling to Costa Rica with her husband in her free time.

Rita Holden – Born in Ireland and raised in England, Rita moved to the US in 1995 and became a US citizen in 2008.  Rita has 30+ years of bookkeeping experience with a particular emphasis in non-profit. Rita also has the distinguished title of being Accountability Plus’ first employee!! Rita enjoys cycling and reading in her spare time.

Ovidio Mora – Immigrated to the US from Costa Rica in 1988. Worked in food services in FL, OR and Santa Barbara where he met and married Karen. Joined the AccPlus team in 2002 as the outside liaison and “face of AccPlus,” and is fondly known as “OV”. Duties also include IT support and bookkeeping. OV enjoys scuba diving, running, and socializing in his free time.

Sue Burk – Beginning her career in Chicago before moving to Santa Barbara where she has now lived for 30 years, Sue has 33 years of experience in the accounting field including businesses such as construction/architecture, manufacturing, grocery, retail, restaurant, non-profit, property management.  Sue has also worked for 2 local accounting firms and is a member of the Santa Barbara Bookkeeper’s Association. Sue enjoys being a “weekend cowgirl” at her family ranch, as well as traveling and fly fishing with her husband, John.

Linda Davis – With 21 years of experience in bookkeeping, collections and office management, Linda has worked in a variety of businesses such as interior design, production and post-production, and retail. Linda also designs one-of-a kind jewelry, as well as enjoys decorating/fashion/interior design, reading, and camping in her free time.

Fatiha Razani - Received an International Business degree from French University (Montpellier) where she then worked in the banking industry for 10 years in international service relations between Morocco and Europe. Fatiha moved to the United States in 2000 and became a citizen in 2006. Fatiha speaks 5 languages (so far) and enjoys being active, but mostly loves to travel as much as possible in her spare time.

Lindsey Garcia – Has enjoyed working with a variety of businesses including manufacturing, retail, restaurant, medical and non-profit, for over 9 years. Lindsey enjoys being with her husband and newborn baby, volunteering, and camping in her free time.

Loretta Reynolds – A Santa Barbara native and has worked as a bookkeeper for a variety of Santa Barbara businesses for the past 30 years. A proud 15-year member of the PTSA Boards of Vieja Valley, La Colina  and San Marcos High School. Loretta enjoys walking at Hendry’s beach, reading a great romantic paperback, and especially spending time with her husband and two college student children in her spare time.

Patsy Dorsey - 40+ years as a bookkeeper in Santa Barbara. Patsy has experience in such businesses as grocery, pharmacy, auto repair, plumbing, manufacturing, property management and interior design. Patsy is involved in fundraising for local charities in her spare time.

Ceci Fort –Over 10 years of accounting experience in the medical, service and manufacturing industries. Ceci enjoys playing tennis, hiking, biking and running in her spare time.

Michelle Pearce –With over 15 years experience as a bookkeeper, Michelle has worked with a variety of businesses from technology companies to the restaurant industry with an emphasis on financial review and analysis. When not crunching numbers, Michelle enjoys traveling and reading.

Biki Slijepcevic - Received her AA Degree in Accounting from Santa Barbara City College in 2008.  While at City College, Biki was on the President's Honor Roll twice. In her native country of Serbia, she played basketball professionally and then worked as a bookkeeper for five years before moving to the U.S. in 2002.   Biki enjoys scrapbooking, traveling and playing tennis in her free time.

Karen Stiny – Received a BSAG degree from University of Delaware in 1978 and worked in accounting in the oil and gas industry in TX and LA. After moving to Santa Barbara in 1986, Karen co-owned and operated the largest insurance agency in Santa Barbara for 8 years. Karen received her CPA license in 2005 and worked for a local CPA firm for 5 years. Karen’s experience also includes business entity formation and compliance issues. In 2007, Karen published a teaching manual focusing on proper record keeping and reporting for tax preparation in QuickBooks®. She enjoys biking, rollerblading and dancing.

David Thompson – Graduated from UCSB in 1998 with a degree in Business Economics and Accounting. After college, Dave worked for an LA accounting firm. Dave returned to Santa Barbara and worked for a local accounting firm as a tax preparer until he joined his family's property management company as the controller. Dave enjoys spending his free time with his wife and two young children, as well as playing beach volleyball and running.
